APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #15-0155 FOR BUS BRAKE REPAIR PARTS
Description
Bids to provide 'Bus Brake Repair Parts' were received from nine vendors on September 25, 2014. The bids of Fleet Acquisitions, LLC, Fleet Pride, Rush Truck Centers of Florida dba Rush Truck Center of Tampa, Sun State International, and The Parts House were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budget allocated to the Transportation Department.
Recommendation
That the bids of Fleet Acquisitions, LLC, Fleet Pride, Rush Truck Centers of Florida dba Rush Truck Center of Tampa, Sun State International, and The Parts House, to provide 'Bus Brake Repair Parts' in an amount not to exceed $115,000.00, be approved as presented.
